healthcare challenges, environmental crisis, and social issues. Malnutrition being one of the challenges has raised the infant mortality rate to worrisome levels. As many as 245 children, as of May 2019, lost their lives owing to malnutrition. In order to alleviate the sufferings of the children and bring some relief to its people, SOCH in collaboration with Heal Aid successfully set up a holistic medical camp, Sha’oor aur Shifa: HEAL & SOCH Medical Camp, in the Tharparkar District, from 27th to 29th September 2019. The medical camp was able to provide counselling on health and social aspects along with dedicated consulting and basic necessities to over a thousand patients.
