With the aim of âNo one should go coldâ our department of Events and Campaigns conducted a winter drive to provide warm apparel to the needy. Donations in the form of cash, warm clothes and accessories were collected. Blankets, shawls, socks, and winter clothes were purchased by the volunteers from the funds generated. All the material was distributed in three phases to target a large number of people who were in dire need.
The first phase of the drive was at Civil Hospital Karachi where we distributed winter essentials to the thalassemic kids at Patients Welfare Association (PWA) and other admitted patients. In the second phase Ojha Hospital, Gulistan-e-Johar and the vicinity of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre were selected. The third phase was conducted in the vicinity of Civil hospital and Jinnah hospital Karachi. This drive aimed to ensure the wellbeing of as many individuals as possible from the harsh weather conditions.
